If A Mockingbird Don’t SingIf a mockingbird don’t sing, ‘cause it ain’t to be.
No salvation for anything, except in my dreams.
I’m telling you this, don’t you know what is free?
Restless nightmares are everywhere it seems.
In this world, there’s many things to tell,
But I’m going to see the bright blue sky.
Whether or not, I’ll stay true as well
In this life of mine, I’ll be sure to get by.
Only if my friends didn’t die,
I wouldn’t be so lonely, oh why,
Is every day is a struggle to try?
This is when you start to cry...

Okay, I should probably explain...
I'm sick and when I'm sick my head thinks of weird, creepy stuff, hence the creepiness of these lyrics/this poem. Uhh, beats me.
But I was trying to convey an emotion of a new character of mine (I'm heading for the deep end of Sick & Twistedness, in my opinion, then again I've may have already dived in...). On an interesting note, I was singing this to the tune of "Mama's going to buy you a Mockingbird" and gosh!
It was scary how well this went with the melody.
I may have killed a beloved childhood song with this...
