" Damn these business deals," he huffed " I swear, they think I've got nothing better to do."
The loud music rattled him, he liked it, but he had no time to enjoy it. The casual wear made him stand out in the semi formal club, but he enjoyed it nonetheless. A vibration startled him, it came from his pocket, a cell phone?
" You know, I don't bring my phone with me for a reason." he snarled.
" Then how am I to keep in touch with you?" the voice on the other end said sarchastically.
" That doesn't matter. I still don't see how you manage to get in in my pocket without my knowledge."
" Well that for me to know."
He chucked and snapped the phone shut. He pulled up the hood on his pitch black sweater and continued towards the back of the crowded club, the overdone flashing lights and smoke beginning to irritate him now, even the bar at the back lit up obnoxiously. But maybe that was just what he needed.
" What'll you have?" the bartender excused his obvious lack of semi formal wear.
" I'll--" He was cut of by a loud gunshot in the back. He groaned " Looks like the minglers late. Its been way too long a day."
He hopped over the now empty bar in one fluid motion. It seemed as if the entire place was empty, the Mingler chuckled, rolling back the sleeves on his hoodie and grabbing a bottle of hard vodka as he walked trough the door.
" What the hell is wrong with you? Do you really expect us to make such a steep investment?"
The fiery redhead closest to the door on his right, looked over as he entered, flashing him an innocent smile. The man yelling had a gruff voice that irritated him in that 'I wanna gouge your eyes out with a toothbrush' kinda way.
By the way, the man I've been talking about this whole time is me. Mingler Y.
" I thought I was gonna do the talking?" I walked to her side, her pale skin in deep contrast to my own, as well as her attire. Much more formal. She had somehow managed to pull of a frilly black dress, of course, she had ripped off the bottom half, so it was more like a skirt.
I noticed a chair in the far corner " Do you mind?" she said wide eyed, obviously not meaning it as a request, more like a statement.
I sat first, she perched herself on the arm leaning into me. I instantly felt a little less irritable. I could tell she did as well " So," she began in a cutesy voice that would make even the most strong willed manly man go ' Aww'
" Where do we begin."
I pulled out a cell phone from the other mingler, mingler X's purse, I flipped it open and dialed the Boss's number.
" Hey, Boss."
" We've got"
" A fighter" we said in unison.
" No," the gruff man whom I had just noticed, was wearing something quite similar to myself roared " If you would just lower your offer..." he pleaded, I smiled.
" We don't lower."
" Our offers."
Mingler X stood up abruptly and raced towards the man, having somewhere in that short amount of time pulled out a dagger. She stabbed him quickly in the jugular and smashed his head against a glass coffee table. She likes them to go slowly.
I on the other hand whipped out a pistol. I don't pay attention to the names, so long as they get the job done. And shot the mans companion, who was trying to sneak his way out of the door.
" Oh, hell no." I chucked, snapping the phone shut. Mingler X chuckled as well.
" Good job Jon." she said to me
" You too Serena"
